Deep inside Tenorio Volcano National Park, two ordinary rivers meet — and the water suddenly turns a brilliant, unreal turquoise blue. It's one of Costa Rica's most jaw-dropping natural sights, and this full-day tour takes you right to it: the famous 30-meter Río Celeste waterfall, the blue lagoon, bubbling volcanic mud pots, and Los Teñideros — the exact spot where the color is born.

Your day

1. Hotel pickup in the La Fortuna / Arenal area and a scenic drive to the base of Tenorio Volcano.
2. Guided rainforest hike to the Río Celeste waterfall and blue lagoon (moderate — some sections are uphill).
3. Volcanic hot spots — bubbling mud pots and steaming vents that give the river its color.
4. Los Teñideros — witness the two rivers merge into that impossible turquoise.
5. Traditional lunch before the drive back to your hotel.
